Civil servants (titulaires) and contract staff can apply. A person who has not passed a competitive exam can be hired directly, as the entry grade in category C allows it.

The profile they look for:
- Knowledge of the Mayor's police powers.
- Good knowledge of road traffic and public health rules.
- Knowledge of the roles of security bodies (municipal, national police, gendarmerie).
- Skills in Word, Outlook and data protection rules (GDPR).
- Driving licence B required.
- Ability to mediate, discretion and punctuality.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

Send your CV and cover letter by email to the town hall, addressed to the Mayor. If needed, you can also send your file by post.
4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Remote work not possible.
- Driving licence B required.
- Occasional replacement of the market placier at the Halle aux Comestibles, about 9 weeks per year.
