Civil servants (titulaires) and contract agents can apply. A person who has not passed a competitive exam can be hired directly, because the grade is an entry-level category C grade.
Category: Category C (staff)
The profile they look for:
- Able to supervise, listen to and engage a group of children
- Quickly spot an incident or conflict and handle it calmly
- Work as a team with ATSEM and other after-school staff
- Know cleaning techniques and use products and equipment correctly
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
