Civil servants and contract staff can apply. A person who has not passed a competitive exam can be hired directly, because the grade is an entry grade in category C.
Category: Category C (staff)
Experience: Beginners accepted.
The profile they look for:
- Know good working postures and how to lift loads safely.
- Know cleaning and hygiene rules and cleaning techniques.
- Good people skills and ability to listen to children.
- Adaptability, teamwork and rigour.
- Autonomy, professional discretion and initiative.
- Driving licence category B.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Part-time: 35 hours a week during school weeks.
- Non-school weeks: 12 hours, one week out of two.
- No work at weekends. Remote work not possible.
- Driving licence B required. Physical demands, chemical products, sometimes working alone. Work clothes provided.
