Civil servants and contract workers can apply. A person who did not pass a civil service exam can be hired, because the entry grade of category C allows direct hiring.
Category: Category C (staff)
Experience: Successful experience in a similar job, ideally in a local authority
The profile they look for:
- Successful experience in a similar job, ideally in a local authority.
- Know and follow hygiene and safety rules.
- Be able to take initiative, especially for HACCP rules.
- Be quick to react and versatile, and work well in a team.
- Communicate with the teaching staff and the town council services.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

Send your application only by postal mail to the Le Cannet town hall. You cannot apply online.
4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- You must state the job title and the offer number in your letter.
- Job vacant from 1 January 2027.
- A valid driving licence (category B) is ideal but not required.
