Civil servants and contract staff can apply. A person who has not passed a civil service competition can be hired directly at this entry-level category C grade. People recognised as disabled workers can also apply through a contract.

The profile they look for:
- Knowledge of food hygiene rules
- Skills in cleaning and disinfection techniques
- Sense of organisation and rigour
- Ability to communicate with children and adults
- Attention to food allergies and special instructions
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Work mainly during the lunch break, with tasks before and after service.
- Hours may be adapted to the school calendar.
- Long periods standing and occasional lifting of loads.
