Open to civil servants and contract workers. A person who has not passed a civil service exam can be hired, because the grade is an entry grade in category C.
Category: Category C (staff)
Diploma: CAP or BEP in catering, or an equivalent professional title.
Experience: Catering experience is welcome but not required.
The profile they look for:
- Know food hygiene and food safety rules.
- Know about food allergies.
- Apply cleaning and disinfection procedures.
- Be friendly, calm and patient with children.
- Work well in a team and follow the rules.
- Enjoy being around children.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

Apply on the employer's website, or send your CV and cover letter by post to the town hall.
4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- A valid driving licence (category B) is required.
- PSC1 first-aid certificate is required.
- Remote work is not possible.
- The post is vacant from 20/11/2026, and other tasks may be given in exceptional cases.
