Civil servants and contract staff can apply. A person who has not passed a civil service exam can be hired, because the grade is an entry grade in category C (adjoint technique).
Category: Category C (staff)
Diploma: CAP or BEP in catering, or an equivalent professional title
Experience: Experience in catering is wished for.
The profile they look for:
- Know food hygiene and food safety rules well.
- Have basic cooking skills and knowledge of balanced meals.
- Work well in a team and follow the rules.
- Be organised, careful and methodical.
- Enjoy contact with children.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
