2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

Apply on the employer's website, using the Ministry of the Interior's single application form. You can also contact the unit commander or the manager of the catering service.
4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Remote work not possible.
- Weekend duty at home base.
- Mixed work schedule: 40h30 per week, giving 29 days of RTT (time off in lieu).
- For civil servants (titulaires), trips give entitlement to a daily allowance of 42 euros, tax-free.
