Civil servants and contract staff can apply. A person who has not passed a civil service exam can be hired directly, because the entry grade in category C allows it.
Category: Category C (staff)
The profile they look for:
- Limited autonomy, mainly carrying out assigned work.
- Responsible for how equipment is used.
- Follows safety rules for storing dangerous or polluting products.
- Able to work alone or in a team.
- Able to cope with physical strain: long periods standing and moving furniture.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply
Deadline: November 1 (Closes in 3 days)
Apply using the « Apply on the employer's site » button on the official offer on Choisir le Service Public. Send your CV and cover letter to the town hall.
4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Annualised hours, regular or shifted, often compatible with part-time work.
- Work in schools, alone or in a team, with many moves between sites.
- Professional clothing and protective equipment must be worn.
- The post is vacant from 1 November 2026.
