Civil servants and contract staff can apply. A person who has not passed a competitive exam can be hired, because the entry grade of category C allows direct recruitment.
Category: Category C (staff)
The profile they look for:
- Know the HACCP food safety rules.
- Master cleaning techniques and cleaning products.
- Know safe lifting and handling movements.
- Know the basic rules of waste sorting.
- Enjoy teamwork.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

Send your cover letter and CV by email to the town hall, at the address given in the offer. You can also apply on the employer's website.
4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- High availability needed during school periods, especially at the start of the school year.
- Driving licence B appreciated.
- Health insurance, provident cover and CNAS.
