Civil servants and contract staff can apply. A person who has not passed a civil service competition can be hired directly for this category C grade.
Category: Category C (staff)
Experience: Experience in a school canteen asked for in the job profile.
The profile they look for:
- Experience in a school canteen.
- HACCP training preferred.
- Knowledge of basic cooking techniques and food hygiene rules.
- Skill in cleaning and disinfection procedures.
- Able to use cleaning products safely.
- Organised, rigorous and methodical, with good rapport with young children.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

Send your application by post or by email to the town hall, for the attention of the Mayor. The offer can also be viewed on the Choisir le Service Public website.
4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Part-time post, 30 hours per week on an annualised basis (30/35).
- Handover period with the current worker from 14 to 18 December 2026.
- The leisure centre operates 4 days a week during school term.
