Open to civil servants and contract staff. Direct hiring without a competitive exam is possible, because the grade is an entry-level category C grade.
Category: Category C (staff)
The profile they look for:
- Know the nutritional needs of children aged 0 to 3.
- Master cooking techniques and food hygiene rules.
- Master HACCP procedures and cleaning and disinfection protocols.
- Be able to manage stock and know the basics of food allergies.
- Be punctual, rigorous and autonomous, with good teamwork skills.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Split hours: in the morning and at the end of the day, depending on the day.
- Cleaning hours can be swapped to the morning, before the nursery opens.
- Remote work is not possible for this post.
