Open to civil servants and contract staff. A person without a civil service exam can be hired directly, because the entry grade in category C allows it.
Category: Category C (staff)
Experience: Experienced candidates (confirmed level) requested.
The profile they look for:
- Knowledge of safety rules and safe lifting techniques.
- Skill with cleaning methods and road cleaning machines.
- Public service mindset, courtesy and teamwork.
- Good physical fitness, lifting loads over 10 kg.
- Category B driving licence required; heavy vehicle licence and CACES are a plus.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

Apply on the Choisir le Service Public site or by email to the employer, with your CV, cover letter and diplomas.
4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Permanent position of 36 hours per week, with 6 RTT days.
- Outdoor work, sometimes on weekends and public holidays.
- On-call duty possible and frequent travel.
- Two similar positions are open.
