Civil servants and contract staff can apply. A person who has not passed a civil service competition can be hired, because the entry grade of category C allows direct recruitment.
Category: Category C (staff)
The profile they look for:
- Driving licence category B required.
- Good knowledge of the town of Cholet.
- Able to use cleaning equipment: broom, blower, weeder, high-pressure washer.
- Very good physical fitness, lifting heavy loads.
- Team spirit, autonomy and rigour.
- Friendly and polite with the public.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Driving licence category B required.
- High availability: events, one Saturday in four, hours from 5:00 to 12:30 or 12:15 to 19:45.
- Outdoor work in all weather, with heavy lifting.
- 37.5 hours per week and 15 RTT days, subject to eligibility.
