Civil servants (titulaires) and contract workers can apply. A person who has not passed a competitive exam can be hired directly, because the grade is an entry grade in Category C.
Category: Category C (staff)
Experience: Experience in urban cleaning is a plus.
The profile they look for:
- Skills in manual and mechanical cleaning methods.
- Driving light vehicles and road maintenance machines.
- Physical strength to lift loads and stand for long periods.
- Driving licence B required, licence C is a plus.
- Follows safety and hygiene rules.
- Works independently, reacts quickly and works well in a team.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Outdoor work in all weather.
- Morning shift 5:30 to 13:00, or afternoon shift 12:00 to 19:30.
- Possible on-call duty and occasional weekend work.
- Driving licence B required, licence C is a plus.
