Civil servants and contract workers can apply. A person who has not passed a civil service exam can also apply, because the job is open at entry-level category C grades (adjoint technique).
Category: Category C (staff)
The profile they look for:
- Know the safety and hygiene rules for working on public roads.
- Get along well with residents, colleagues and managers.
- Be punctual, serious and motivated.
- Hold a category B driving licence (required).
- Heavy goods vehicle licence (C) and CACES crane operator certificate are a plus.
- Speak and understand French, with a neat appearance.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.

- Outdoor work in all weather.
- Carrying heavy, bulky and vibrating loads.
- Category B driving licence required.
