Civil servants (titulaires) and contract agents can apply. A person who has not passed a civil service competition can be hired directly, as the grade is an entry grade in category C.
Category: Category C (staff)
Experience: Experienced candidate required.
The profile they look for:
- Driving licence B required; licence C is a plus.
- Know the rules for working on public land and road safety.
- Know the rules for waste sorting and recycling.
- Like working in a team and outdoors.
- Good physical fitness, service spirit, rigour and caution.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Full-time job of 36 hours a week.
- Mainly morning hours, with some Monday and Friday afternoons.
- Occasional work on weekends and public holidays during town events.
- Outdoor work, long periods standing. Remote work is not possible.
