Civil servants (titulaires) and contract staff can apply. A person without a civil service exam can be hired, because the grade is an entry grade in category C.
Category: Category C (staff)
Diploma: CAP or a diploma giving access to the adjoints techniques territoriaux exam
Experience: Experience in the environment field: cleaning, waste, sanitation
The profile they look for:
- Knowledge of manual or mechanised sweeping and washing methods
- Ability to modernise and mechanise the job
- Able to report to and inform your manager
- Able to work in a team
- Sense of public service
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Full time: 1572 hours per year.
- Work on Saturdays, Sundays depending on the area, and evenings.
- On-call duties (astreintes) planned.
