Civil servants (titulaires) and contract staff can apply. A competitive exam is not needed, because the grade is an entry grade in category C.
Category: Category C (staff)
Diploma: CAP or vocational bac in building trades, and electrical training B1.
Experience: At least 2 years, including technical management of a building.
The profile they look for:
- CAP or vocational bac in building trades, and electrical training B1.
- At least 2 years of technical building management experience.
- Able to do routine building maintenance and repair work.
- Knows safety rules and standards on construction sites.
- Able to plan work on a site.
- Good written and spoken communication, good team player.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- A B driving licence is required to travel between buildings.
- Permanent category C post, open to civil servants and contract staff.
- Knowledge of the SYMPHONIE software is a plus.
