Civil servants and contract staff can apply. A contract worker can be hired if no civil servant applies. No competitive exam is needed for this entry-level category C grade.

Diploma: CAP or BEP in the building trade, or equivalent
Experience: Experienced candidate

- Driving licence category B required
- Electrical authorisation suited to the work
- Knowledge of safety, hygiene and accessibility rules
- Ability to read plans and technical diagrams
- Autonomy, initiative and team spirit
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Driving licence category B required.
- Regular on-call technical duty and possible emergency call-outs.
- Working time of 36 hours a week with RTT days off.
- Remote work not possible.
