Civil servants and contract staff can apply. A person who has not passed a competitive exam can be hired directly, at the Adjoint technique grade.
Category: Category C (staff)
The profile they look for:
- Know sorting rules and waste types.
- Know hazardous waste and handling authorisations.
- Know the site rules and instructions.
- Know weighing techniques and reception procedures.
- Accept standing for long periods, lifting loads and noise or smells.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Work is often alone and regularly outdoors.
- Wearing personal protective equipment is mandatory.
- Risk of contact with hazardous materials.
- Remote work is not possible.
