Civil servants and contract agents can apply. A person who has not passed a civil service competition can be hired directly, because the grade is an entry grade in category C.
Category: Category C (staff)
Diploma: Master of ceremonies diploma: a plus.

- Knowledge of funeral law and cremation techniques.
- Good people skills and good listening skills.
- Able to handle stress and stay emotionally stable.
- Team spirit.
- Basic office software skills.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Work cycle over 2 weeks, with worked and non-worked days alternating.
- Hours: 7:45-12:45 and 13:45-18:45.
- No remote work possible. No RTT days, 15 days of annual leave.
- Professional outfits must be worn for ceremonies and work.
