1 Check the conditions You are here
Civil servants and contract staff can apply. A contract worker can be hired if no civil servant application has succeeded. The entry grade in category C allows direct hiring without a competitive exam.
Category: Category C (staff)
The profile they look for:
- Hold the adjoint technique job grade, or have experience in the field.
- Know and use cleaning and collection tools.
- Be punctual and reliable.
- Have a sense of public service.
- Respect the chain of command.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

Apply using the « Postuler sur le site employeur » button on the official offer on Choisir le Service Public. Sending a CV by email does not count as an application.
4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Job vacant from 1 December 2026.
