Civil servants and contract agents can apply. A person who has not passed a civil service competition can be hired directly, because the grade is an entry grade in category C. Recognised disabled workers can also be hired on a contract basis.

Experience: Confirmed (experienced) level requested

  • Professional degree (Licence Pro) or DUT in Book Professions
  • Library science skills
  • In-depth knowledge of library software
  • Good command of documentary IT, the Internet and communication tools
  • Basic knowledge of French data protection law and GDPR
2 Résumé and cover letter

A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.

3 Apply

4 Interview and answer

If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.

Good to know:

  • Driving licence (permit B) required
  • Works Tuesday to Saturday, with occasional evening or weekend requests
  • Partial remote work possible, under the council's rules
  • Benefits: IFSE and CIA bonuses, 25 days of leave plus RTT days, contribution to health insurance and salary maintenance cover, CNAS membership
