Civil servants and contract staff can apply. A person who has not passed a public competition can be hired, because the grade is a category C entry grade.
Category: Category C (staff)
The profile they look for:
- Interest in art and heritage (a degree in art history is a plus).
- Able to handle visitor reception and conflicts.
- Knows surveillance methods and emergency reporting procedures.
- Able to inform and alert the management.
- Welcoming, polite, punctual and rigorous.
- Discreet and bound by professional confidentiality.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
