Civil servants and contract agents can apply. A person who has not passed a civil service competition can be hired directly, because the entry grade in category C allows it.
Category: Category C (staff)
The profile they look for:
- Know road maintenance techniques
- Master hot mix asphalt work
- Operate construction and snow-clearing vehicles
- Follow site signage rules and health and safety instructions
- Hold a category B driving licence (required)
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply
Deadline: November 19 (Closes in 19 days)
Apply on the employer's website or by post to the CAPI, quoting the reference asked for in the offer. Attach your CV and cover letter.
4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Full-time with shifted working hours
- Winter road duty on call is mandatory
- Driving licences BE and C are preferred
- Remote work is not possible
