Civil servants and contract staff can apply. A person who has not passed a competitive exam can be hired directly, because the grade is an entry grade in category C.
Category: Category C (staff)
The profile they look for:
- Driving licence category B required.
- Knowledge of botany and plant identification.
- Use garden equipment safely.
- Basic knowledge of biodiversity and differentiated management.
- Work on your own and report back.
- Team spirit and a sense of public service.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply
Deadline: November 14 (Closes in 13 days)
Send your CV and cover letter to the town hall, by email or through the employer's website. The « Postuler sur le site employeur » button on the official offer lets you do this.
4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- A driving licence category B is required.
- A horticultural training at level V (CAPA) is preferred, but not required.
