Civil servants and contract staff can apply. A person who has not passed a civil service exam can be hired, because the grade is an entry grade in category C.
Category: Category C (staff)
Diploma: No diploma required; a horticultural training at level V (CAPA) is preferred.
The profile they look for:
- Hold a driving licence, category B.
- Know botany and recognise plants.
- Use garden equipment safely.
- Spot and report plant diseases or pests.
- Work on your own and report back.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply
Deadline: November 14 (Closes in 13 days)
Send your CV and cover letter to the town hall, as the offer explains. You can also apply on the employer’s site or on the official offer page.
4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Driving licence category B required.
- Job vacant from 15/11/2026.
- Contract of one year maximum for a contract worker, renewable up to 2 years.
