2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

Apply on the employer's website. Attach your CV, your cover letter and the single mobility or recruitment form from the Interior Ministry.
4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Remote work possible.
- High availability required during elections, including voting weekends.
- Management role; expected time in post is 4 to 6 years.
- Post may become vacant from 1 January 2027.
