Civil servants and contract staff can apply. A person who has not passed a competitive exam can be hired directly, because the grade is an entry grade in category C.
Category: Category C (staff)
Diploma: CAP Petite Enfance
Experience: Confirmed experience required
The profile they look for:
- CAP Petite Enfance required.
- Good knowledge of children aged 3 to 6.
- Knowledge of hygiene and cleaning rules for rooms.
- PSCI and/or SST required; BAFA optional.
- Good people skills, discretion and confidentiality.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Category C job, no management duties.
- Remote work is not possible.
- Evening work possible during school council meetings.
- Night work possible during multi-day school trips.
