1 Check the conditions You are here
Open to civil servants and contract staff. A person who has not passed a civil service exam can be hired directly, because the adjoint technique grade is an entry grade in category C.
Category: Category C (staff)
The profile they look for:
- Knowledge of hygiene rules in collective catering.
- Knowledge of and compliance with HACCP principles.
- Ability to carry out temperature checks and records.
- Ability to use cleaning products safely.
- Ability to do manual handling tasks.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Variable working hours, Monday to Friday.
- 25 days of paid annual leave.
- Remote work is not possible.
- The employer contributes to the staff health insurance (mutuelle).
