- Knowledge of the needs of children aged 3 to 12.
- Skills in supervising, writing and building projects.
- Budget follow-up and good computer skills.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Working time of 35 hours per week, annualised.
- Sometimes long hours on weekdays with split shifts; weekend work is rare.
- Stays with overnight accommodation during school holidays.
- Reorganisation planned for June 2027, with building renovation from 2027 to 2030.
