Open to civil servants and contract workers. A person without a civil service exam can be hired, because the entry grade in category C allows direct recruitment.
Category: Category C (staff)
The profile they look for:
- Knowledge of how local authorities work.
- Knowledge of hygiene and safety rules for the products used.
- Basic cooking techniques.
- Ability to lead and work well in a team.
- Physical fitness: long periods standing and lifting heavy loads.
- Good organisation skills and rigour.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply
Deadline: December 25 (Closes in 54 days)
Apply through the employer's website, from the official offer. The town hall also asks for the CV and cover letter to be sent by post.
4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Management role.
- Remote work is not possible.
