Civil servants and contract staff can apply. A person who has not passed a civil service competition can be hired, because the entry grade in category C does not require one.
Category: Category C (staff)
Diploma: Baccalauréat, or willingness to take the BAFA
The profile they look for:
- At least the baccalauréat level.
- BAFA holder or willing to take it.
- Technical knowledge of youth activities.
- Teaching skills and seriousness.
- Ability to work as a team.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

Apply online on the Argenteuil town hall website, in the job offers section. You can also send your CV and cover letter by post to the Mayor.
4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
