Civil servants (titulaires) and contract staff can apply. Direct hiring without a competitive exam is possible, because the entry grade is category C.

2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

Apply on the employer's website. You can also send your CV and cover letter by email to the town hall.
4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- The job may be filled by a contract worker while a civil servant is being recruited.
- Working hours can change depending on the needs of the service.
- You may help with cleaning tasks if colleagues are absent.
