This is an open competition, so anyone who meets the requirements can apply. The competition may also be used to fill future vacancies across the Government of Alberta at the same or a lower classification level.
Education: University graduation in a related field, such as criminal justice, law enforcement or corrections. Equivalency is considered: 1 year of experience counts for 1 year of education, and the reverse.
Experience: At least four years of related law enforcement experience, including supervision and personnel management.

2 Resume and cover letter

4 Interview, tests and references
If you are shortlisted, they contact you, often by email. Interviews can be in person or by video, and some jobs also have a written or practical test. Have two or three references ready: former supervisors who know your work.
Good to know:
- Final candidates may need to provide a fingerprint-based criminal record check, at their own cost.
- Candidates pay their own interview travel costs. Moving expenses will be considered.
- Employees who work and live between the 55th and 57th parallels may get a $6,000 yearly retention bonus.
