With education: Basic requirement: graduate of a nursing school accredited by ACEN or CCNE. An Associate Degree or Diploma in Nursing can qualify you for the lower Nurse I levels. A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), Master's (MSN), or Doctoral degree can qualify you for higher levels. Degrees must come from schools accredited by a U.S. Department of Education recognized body, and foreign degrees are not counted as related degrees.
