This experience must be equal to GS-9 level work in health care or other social work settings, and you must be licensed at the independent practice level. The posting describes GS-9 skills, such as working with Veterans and their families, but does not list a separate number of years for GS-9.
With education: You need a master's degree in social work from a school fully accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE). A doctoral degree in social work cannot replace the master's degree. For GS-11, a doctoral degree in social work can replace the 1 year of experience in a clinical setting. A transcript must be submitted if you use education to qualify.
