For GS-13, you need 1 year of experience at the GS-12 level or equivalent, such as applying quantitative and qualitative analysis to complex problems or using math models like linear programming or Monte Carlo simulation.

With education: You can meet the basic requirement with a degree in operations research, or with at least 24 semester hours in operations research, math, probability, statistics, logic, science, or other courses that need college-level math or statistics.
