Do you qualify for VN?
With experience: The announcement says five years minimum of adult critical care bedside nursing experience is required for this position. Experience must be at a level comparable to the grade you apply for, and the VA reviews each RN experience on five dimensions: practice, veteran/patient driven care, leadership, professional development, and evidence-based practice/research.
With education: You must graduate from a nursing school accredited by ACEN or CCNE, or meet the foreign school rules listed in the announcement. A degree level (ADN, BSN, MSN or doctorate) also affects which grade you can reach. Education must come from schools recognized by the U.S. Department of Education to count.
Licenses and certifications you need:
- Current, full, active, and unrestricted registered nurse license in a U.S. state, territory, Puerto Rico, or the District of Columbia
How to apply well

- SF-15 if you claim 10-point veterans' preference, with required proof

- Professional certification if you have one
How you will be rated: You will be rated on how well you meet the qualifications, based on your online questionnaire and your application documents. Experience is verified, and errors or missing information may lower your rating or make you ineligible.
Tips for this job:
