What you would do
- Review and approve all receiving reports.
- Audit payment documents that are received.
- Perform audits and analysis of the purchase card system as required.
- Examine vendor credit memos and reclaims to check they are appropriate.
- Research accounts and source documents to explain detailed information.
- Assist in training personnel.
Do you qualify for GS-7?
With experience: You need at least 1 full year of specialized experience at or above the next lower grade, GS-6, in federal service. The experience must have given you the knowledge and skills to do Accounting Technician work, such as maintaining control and subsidiary accounts, analyzing accounting data in automated systems, reviewing purchase orders and contracts, and clearing items in suspense accounts.
With education: Education cannot replace experience at this grade.
