This is an open competition, so anyone who meets the requirements can apply. Final candidates must pass a criminal records check.
Education: Two-year diploma in a related field such as Legal Administration, Legal Assistant, or Criminology. Equivalent education and experience may be considered (1 year of education for 1 year of experience).
Experience: One year of related experience in legal administration, including an administrative role in a legal office.

2 Resume and cover letter
Tailor your resume to this posting: use its words and show each requirement with a concrete example. In Canada, leave out your photo, age and marital status. Add a short cover letter if the posting asks for one or accepts it.

4 Interview, tests and references
If you are shortlisted, they contact you, often by email. Interviews can be in person or by video, and some jobs also have a written or practical test. Have two or three references ready: former supervisors who know your work.
Good to know:
- A cover letter is required; applications without one will not be considered.
- Final candidates must pass a criminal records check, at the candidate's cost.
- Exposure to graphic and emotionally disturbing material is possible.
