Education: Two-year diploma in a related field such as Legal Assistant or Paralegal. Equivalency with experience is considered (one year of experience for one year of education).
Experience: One year of progressively responsible related experience as a Legal Assistant or Paralegal, with a law firm or other agency.

2 Resume and cover letter

4 Interview, tests and references
If you are shortlisted, they contact you, often by email. Interviews can be in person or by video, and some jobs also have a written or practical test. Have two or three references ready: former supervisors who know your work.
Good to know:

- Final candidates must complete a criminal records check, at their own cost.
- The work is on site at Peace Hills Trust Tower in Edmonton. Hybrid or remote work is not available.
- Applicants not qualified now may be placed in a pool for similar vacancies at the same or lower level across the Government of Alberta.
