This is an open competition, so anyone who meets the requirements can apply. Applicants must be eligible for appointment as a police officer in Alberta under the Police Act.
Education: Completion of an approved police recruit training program. ASPS training is completed after hiring.
Experience: Previous policing experience, as determined by ASPS recruitment standards.

2 Resume and cover letter

4 Interview, tests and references

Good to know:
- Security screening, enhanced background checks and reference checks are required.
- Successful candidates will be employed by ASPS, not the Government of Alberta.
- A valid Class 5 Alberta driver's licence or equivalent is required.
- Candidates pay their own costs for required checks and interview travel.
